“Help window” opens

MSME gab on Tuesday

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 16, 2012 (PIA) – Medium, small, micro entrepreneurs needing sectoral support can air our their concerns at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) holds a Central Visayas MSME Conference on June 19, Tuesday.
Set at the City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park in Cebu City, the conference, which is free of charge for MSME and Provincial SMED Councils, runs from 8:30am to 5:00pm, says DTI Bohol Director Ma. Elena Arbon.
This activity is in partnership with the German International Cooperation (GIZ) through the Private Sector Promotion (SMEDSEP) Program.
Arbon said the conference which aims to provide a venue for sharing of strategies among priority sectors in the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor adopts the theme “SOAR HIGHER MSMEs”.
According to the DTI here, the gab provides a venue for the provincial MSMED Councils and the RDC to hear and appreciate the needs of the sectors.
This, the office said should be able to let them know what necessary support to provide as this becomes a perfect opportunity for them to seek support from other provinces’ MSMEDCs or the RDC.
More than that, the conference also opens up windows of opportunity for support from other sectors or other development partners as well as chart the way for establishing collaboration among sectors and enablers, DTI said.
During the conference, topics for discussion include the MSME Development Framework, Vision and Mission strategies of the IT-enabled services, Vision and Strategies of the Tourism Sector, Vision and Strategies of the Creative Sector and Market Systems Development.
